Baby Annabell Newborn Sleeping Lamb Review

Well, time is flying by, little Hettie is 5 weeks old already. The last month has gone by in a blur of newborn loveliness, and I can honestly say that she is still a total joy to look after. Amazingly, she seems to have daytime and night totally dialled, but from experience I know that this is rarely the case for a newborn so I feel very blessed! I’m guessing there is plenty of time yet for things to turn upside down!

Before she arrived, we were very kindly sent some products to review, and one of the first things that arrived was the Baby Annabell Newborn Sleeping Lamb.

This lovely toy is suitable from birth, although I feel that it will definitely come into its own once she is a little bigger and interacting more with the world. I think it makes the perfect bedtime toy for toddlers, you press the star on it’s tummy to play a gentle soothing lullaby. The star also lights up and changes colour to provide a gentle night light. It is super soft, and great for snuggling up to, so i’m sure it will be a massive hit in the future.

Although Hettie is a little small yet to make decisions about her own toys, her big brother William is VERY keen on the little lamb! We have to take it everywhere with us for her, including the school run, and he insists on pressing the button for the lullaby to ‘help her sleep’…even when she’s already asleep. Very sweet, but it has had the opposite to the desired effect on a couple of occasions!

The only negative that I can see, is that the tune plays for a very short time before you need to press the star again. Therefore I would say that it is more suitable as a toy than a sleep aid.
