Care Instructions For Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is a soft metal that will naturally mark & scar if knocked. It will also tarnish over time when exposed to air, and therefore needs a little regular care. We have taken great care in creating your jewellery, to protect it and ensure it lasts as long as possible, here are a few tips to follow:

- When you’re not wearing your jewellery, store it separately in it’s original packaging to help prevent scratching & tarnish.

- To keep your jewellery in the best possible condition, we recommend that it is the last thing you put on before you leave the house and the first thing you remove when you get home.

If an item is worn regularly it will gradually age. To slow this process we recommend that you follow these simple guidelines:

- Avoid contact with soap, perfume & household chemicals.

- Keep jewellery dry & remove before bathing or swimming.

- Remove before doing any manual work or exercise.

- Check connecting rings and links regularly.

- Gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth to prevent build up of tarnish. 

 

Engraved Silver Products - recommended for occasional wear

Your jewellery is surface engraved and therefore if worn regularly, fine detail may become less visible over time, due to scratching.

To keep your product in the best condition, we recommend that you only use a soft cloth to polish it. Do not use any chemicals or polish on your engraved silver.

Leather Products

Our leather products are high quality & hard-wearing, but leather is a natural product & needs to be cared for in order to ensure that it lasts well. Do not expose to moisture, but if your item gets wet accidentally, blot the liquid & allow to dry naturally. Do not expose to excess heat - this may cause fading. Some leather products have clasps with magnets in them, which may rust if exposed to moisture.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel has a high resistance to corrosion when exposed to moisture. To prevent tarnishing, regularly clean with a soft cloth.
