How do I take prints for my handprint/fingerprint order?

We are able to use any prints that you already have, which may have been taken with paint, ink or invisible ink. If you don't have any prints that you would like to use, then all of our handprint products offer you the option to order a FREE handprint taking kit when you place your order. These kits are really easy to use and less messy than using paint!

Once you've taken your prints you can send them to us via post (there is a freepost envelope included with your kit). We do recommend that you send your prints back via email though, as it is quicker and safer to do so, it also means you can keep the original prints as a keepsake. You can either scan your prints, or take a high resolution photo with your phone and send them to studio@bellaandbow.co.uk.

How do I use prints that I already have?

We simply need a copy of the prints that you already have. You can either scan the prints or take a high resolution photo and email them to studio@bellaandbow.co.uk. Alternatively, you can photocopy them and send them via post to our studio:

Bella & Bow Ltd, 3b The Common, Parbold, Lancashire, WN8 7DA.

Can I return/exchange my item or cancel an order?

Goods that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements are non-refundable, unless faulty. All other items can be returned if they are in their original packaging, please contact us within 7 days to arrange any returns.

Please see here for our full returns ad cancellation policy.

How do I upload prints that I already have?

For our handprint products, you are able to upload a jpeg (photo) file with your order. Use the 'upload prints' facility when you pick your product options. If you have more than one image to send us, then please email them to studio@bellaandbow.co.uk, using your order number as a reference.

My item has not arrived on time, what should I do?

Once an order has been dispatched via Royal Mail you should receive a confirmation shipping email. Your order can be tracked here http://www.royalmail.com/ . If you are unable to receive your delivery, then the postman will usually put it thorough your door or leave a delivery card. If the item is not received by the confirmed date, please check with the local depot. Occasionally deliveries may be delayed during busy periods such as Christmas. Unfortunately we have no control over delays that are due to Royal Mail. Please be patient if this is the case and keep tracking the item via the Royal Mail website.

What do I do if I'm not happy with the prints that i've taken?

There are very few handprints that we are unable to use, and most of the time we can clean up any smudges that are made during the print taking process. If you are unhappy with the prints that you've taken, then please send us a photo or scan of them anyway, along with a note explaining that you would like us to take a look at them for you. We can normally edit them and send a copy back to you to check before processing your order.

If you would prefer to order a replacement kit to take another set of prints, then they are available to purchase via our website.

    What are memorial gifts?

    What are memorial gifts?

    What are memorial gifts?

Losing someone close to you is an incredibly difficult event to process. There’s a grieving process to go through as you come to terms with not only losing that person from your life but also unboxing and addressing the emotions you feel as a result.

It’s natural that you will want to keep a part of that person close to you somehow, and a memorial gift is a poignant and personal way of doing that.

Memorial gifts enable you to keep that person and your memories of them close to you at all times. You can personalise them with an inscription, a single initial, name or a fingerprint, ensuring that your memorial gift is personal and unique to you and the person you want to remember.

Our fingerprint range is the perfect choice for those looking to purchase a memorial gift. Whether you’re looking for a gift for yourself to remember someone close to you or looking for a gift to send someone else, you’re sure to find something to suit your needs.

    Memorial Gift Ideas for Men

Our Men’s Leather Fingerprint bracelet is a beautiful bespoke gift and a perfect way to keep a loved one close. Made of quality leather and stainless steel, this bracelet can be ordered in two different colours and three sizes.

If you’re looking for cufflinks, we have two options available - oval or rectangular. Both have space for a fingerprint and initials on one cufflink and a message or name on the other. And if you wear ties to work, why not opt for our stainless steel tie clip? You can have a fingerprint on the front, with a secret message on the back.

    Memorial Gifts for Women

There are several memorial gift idea options available for women too. If you want a small keepsake, why not check out the Sterling Silver Fingerprint Charm Star Bead or the Sterling Silver Fingerprint Heart Bead? Both are available with rose or yellow gold plating and can be engraved on the back with a name or date.

There are also a couple of beautiful necklaces to choose from. The Disc Fingerprint Necklace and the Heart Fingerprint Necklace are both made of highly polished sterling silver and have room for a fingerprint on the front and a message on the back. I’d also check out the Silk Cord Bracelet and the Silver Ball Bracelet too. One comes in a range of colour options, whilst the other in a range of sizes.

    Unisex Memorial Gifts

If you’re looking for a memorial gift that’s suitable for anyone, there are options available. You can choose from keyrings (such as this Stainless Steel Dog tag Fingerprint Keyring or the Heart Fingerprint Keyring) or opt for a unisex Dog Tag Necklace. All come with the option of having a fingerprint on the front and a secret message on the back.

The passing of a loved one is never easy. But the grieving process can be lightened a little, knowing that you have something to remember the person by. That’s when a memorial gift can help. It enables the wearer to feel close to their loved one and serves as a cherished reminder that they can fondly remember them long after they have passed.

"From the min I ordered and contacted Bella & Bow to receiving the item I could not fault them. The customer service is second to none. Infact loved it so much I have ordered another one. if you want an item truly personal and amazing service please use Bella & Bow. Thank you ladies you did my Dad proud xx"

"I was recommended to Bella and Bow when my dad died in April. They have been so helpful with advising me on how to get the fingerprints and so kind and quick to respond."

"I ordered several items and when they arrived I was so so pleased. The quality of the print on the charms and the bracelet are fantastic."

"Thank you so much. We are all delighted with the charms and the bracelet and will definitely order more in the future x"

Tips for keeping the kids entertained in the Easter holidays

Tips for keeping the kids entertained in the Easter holidays

Here are some ideas to keep your kids entertained during the Easter break.

Keep the kids entertained with a sensory scavenger hunt

The Children 1st website has some great ideas to keep the kids entertained at home in this article - including a sensory scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunts are always a good idea and can be easily adapted to suit different aged children.

Create a soundscape of your house

Continuing with the sensory theme, how about creating a soundscape of your house? It’s another idea listed on the Children 1st website, under their article: Things To Keep The Kids Entertained At Home.

Keep the kids entertained for hours with indoor ball games

Indoor ball games aren’t necessarily words that parents would want to put together in the same sentence, but hear me out! Over on the Stay At Home Mum website, their 20 Ways To Keep The Kids Entertained For Hours article has a couple of great indoor ball game ideas.

First up, check out their Lounge Room Mini Golf idea. You can get the kids to make the cereal box, and plastic cup ‘holes’, whilst the game itself will test their patience and hand-eye coordination. Another idea to keep the kids entertained is the epic marble run.

    Hold your own mini Olympics

If you’re looking to help burn off some surplus energy, why not hold your own mini Olympics? I love this idea, as seen over in the Family Lives article: How To Keep The Children Entertained During The Holidays. You and the kids can both use your imagination to create an assortment of games, such as pillowcase sack race, skipping with dressing gown belts, sock ball throwing etc.

Get gardening during the Easter holidays

Gardening is a great way to spend time with your kids and also get them interested in nature. You can use the time to teach them about plants and being aware of where the food they eat comes from. But also, kids love digging holes and getting messy! The Asda Good Living website has an excellent article showing you How To Get The Kids Involved In Gardening.

    Exploring nature

Whilst they’re out in the garden, why not give them a chance to explore nature a little more? You could give them a magnifying glass to go exploring or set up a scavenger hunt for nature-related items, such as a specific colour stone or a textured item?

It’s not always easy keeping the kids entertained in the Easter holidays, especially as we’ve just come out of a more extended period of already being locked down together. But use the time together during the Easter break to get outside as much as you can and encourage your kid’s natural inquisitive nature to explore, create and have fun. The ideas above will help make this easier, covering both indoor and outdoor play - because we all know how quickly the weather can change at this time of year!

5 Easter craft ideas to keep the kids entertained

5 Easter craft ideas to keep the kids entertained

It can be a little difficult, coming up with craft ideas to keep the kids entertained. Luckily, the various holidays and celebrations throughout the year give you a list of changing themes to base new ideas on - and that’s no different for Easter. Here are 5 Easter craft ideas to keep the kids entertained during the Easter period.

#1: Have a scavenger hunt this Easter

Whether you’re looking for an Easter activity in your local community or just want an activity that doesn’t involve lots of chocolate, why not organise an Easter hunt? You’ll find some pretty designs to colour in over on the Hobbycraft website. Simply get the kids to colour them in and then place them in a window. You can then take the children on a walk with their downloaded scavenger hunt checklist, to find them all.

#2: Bunnies and chicks - the staple of Easter craft ideas!

Taking inspiration from the bumper crop of 40+ Easter ideas over on One Little Project at a Time’s website, why not create your own bunnies and chicks! As mentioned in their blog post, you can make with anything - from lollipop sticks through to egg boxes. Why not get your kids to pick one of the options and have a go at making these Easter-associated animals. I personally think the pom pom sheep and bunnies are adorable!

    #3: Indoor Easter egg hunt

Although it’s not strictly an Easter craft idea, all kids love a good Easter egg hunt. As Good Housekeeping shared in this article, it’s just one of 17 activities you can do indoors. And if you want to turn it into an Easter craft idea, you could get the kids to decorate the eggs before you hide them. You can use normal eggs (as per this article on the Good Food website) or opt for making your own chocolate Easter eggs with a balloon as your mould (as per this article on Love Food’s website).

    #4: Easter-themed handprint cards

Of course, you can’t have a craft idea blog post, without mentioning a handprint activity or two! The Bunny handprint card, over on The Best Ideas For Kids website is gorgeous. I also love the Easter Straw Painted Baby Chick Handprint Craft, on Messy Little Monster’s Website - and they also have 9 additional handprint craft to try too!

    #5: Handprint chick puppets

Finally, check out these adorable handprint chick puppets, on the Kids Craft Room website. What I love about them is they’re a great craft idea that uses equipment that you probably already have within your crafting kits.

And talking of handprint crafts, why not keep your child entertained for 10 minutes with our very own handprint keepsake printable. It’s a fun activity for them and it also enables them to create a unique keepsake Easter! You can download your copy here: https://www.bellaandbow.co.uk/pages/free-easter-keepsake-printable
